ORDERS ARE FINAL!! our customer queue is very dense and we all work as hard as we can to get your order out in a timely manner. It is EXTREMELY RARE that we are able to process any order changes, address changes, product additions or deletions, etc after your order is placed. Also, our system validates mailing addresses but there's no way for us to know if you've switched billing/shipping address, had your aunt's address or school address selected in your address book, etc - we ship according to the shipping info in our OYIN checkout process - Please double or even triple check your order before you confirm it. Thank you so much for understanding this!
Order Turnaround: Always allow approximately two weeks for your order to work through our customer queue before it is shipped. All our goodies are made and shipped fresh, and orders are filled in the order in which they were received. We ship using USPS Priority Mail, which usually takes 2-3 days to arrive. Since orders are shipped on a queue-based system, it's hard for us to tell you ahead of time when your order will be shipped, but you will receive an email on the day after your order ships, so you will know it's on its way! Right now our processing turnaround is approximately 2-8 business days.
Order Details: To avoid confusion or delays in order processing, please double check your order details, order notes, and delivery information before confirming your order on our site. We ship according to the information you provide on oyinhandmade.com, rather than the information provided to paypal.com during your payment process. Also, we cannot guarantee that we can make changes to your order once it is in progress - some changes are simply not possible to execute through our system, and the density of our processing queue can sometimes make it quite difficult to perform special admin changes while keeping things moving for all our customers. To avoid delays in your order processing, please double check the contents of your cart and the shipping information before you complete your order.
Our Privacy Promise: We will not do anything with your personal information aside from using it to streamline your shopping experience, ship you your order, and occasionally email you a coupon, site update, or product update if you opt-in to our mailing list. That's it. Period. We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with any third party.
Our Quality Promise: Oyin goodies are *ALWAYS* made with love & care, using time-tested recipes, and the utmost focus on quality and effectiveness. Any differences from batch to batch in color, scent, or consistency are due to the natural fluctuations in our wholesome ingredients. For instance, shea butter can be harder or softer, or have different scents; one crop of flax may yield larger seeds than another.
Product Safety: Oyin products are natural and nourishing; many of our customers use them on their newborns or small children. Of course the normal caveats for allergies apply; children and adults with sensitive skin or allergies (like my mom, who is actually allergic to shea butter!) should patch-test in a small area of skin first to make sure there’s no reaction. With fragranced products, in particular, be careful not to apply to irritated or broken skin, and if any irritation occurs, discontinue use.
Return/Refund Policy: Because Oyin products are handmade especially for you, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on opened Oyin packages. If you're not sure whether a product will work for you, we suggest purchasing an inexpensive sample pack before committing to full-sized products. If there is a problem with your order, please contact us as soon as you receive your package so we can work to rectify it. Unfortunately, specific results are not guaranteed, as everyone's hair is different and responds differently. Please try a sample pack if you're unsure how our products will work for you! :o)
